Get into the spirit of nature at Angel Falls

Angel Falls Lansing Kansas

This serene waterfall and short trail are located in Lansing, Kansas.

Angel Falls is a place to relax and take it all in. To reach the falls, you pass a statue of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of nature. (He is known for many things but his “Canticle of the Sun” is particularly relevant here.)

The trailhead is located on the east side of the parking lot of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. It is marked and highly visible. From the lot, follow an easy, paved half-mile trail to reach the falls. The trail terminates on Mary Street, where you can turn around and walk back. The falls can be observed from a bridge that overlooks them. You can also step down into the natural area surrounding the waterfall.

Address Park at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 900 Ida St, Lansing, KS 66043

Other attractions
These falls are situated on the northwest edge of the metro area. However, Wyandotte County Lake and the Hollis Center, both in Wyandotte County, are a short drive. That way you can make it a day trip if you like.
